Mum and Dad came home from the party at about 3 AM on Sunday morning. Just a few hours later Dad, Nanima and Nanabapa were awakened by Mum's announcement that her water had broken... labour had started.
 

Had Mum known they still had 35 hours to wait for my arrival she would never have bothered waking up!! You see, Mum spent pretty much everyday of her pregnancy working out in hopes of a short, almost pain-free delivery... unfortunately, she got just the opposite!

The doctor's instructions were to wait until the contractions were 4-5 minutes apart. Nanima and Dad spent the whole day timing Mum's contractions. At about 10 PM that Sunday night, Mum felt a gush of amniotic fluid. They immediately rushed to Credit Valley Hospital. Mum was only 2 cms dilated and was told to go back home until morning or until the contractions were 4-5 minutes apart. By Monday morning, the contractions, although very close and painful, were still not 4-5 minutes apart, but off to the hospital they went.
